Jean Libbera, aka "The Double-Bodied Man," had his parasitic brother, Jacques Libbera, connected to him from his chest-stomach area.

He was born in Rome in 1884 with a parasitic twin named Jacques, who was attached to his abdomen. Jacques had two arms, two legs, and a partially formed head, but he depended entirely on Jean for survival.

On 29th July 1914, a statue of Edward J. Smith, the captain of who died in the disaster, was unveiled in Beacon Park in Lichfield by his daughter, Helen Melville Smith (16 years old). The 2.34 m statue was designed by Lady Kathleen Scott.
