Best of luck to Seanie McNamara on his appointment to the coaching staff of Queens Park Rangers.
Achill Rovers would like to wish the best of luck to our very own Seanie McNamara as he begins his new adventure as a ‘Performance Analyst’ at English side Queens Park Rangers this week. Seanie will be bidding farewell to his familiar surroundings of Father O’Brien Park and will be setting up his stall at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium, formerly known as Loftus Road.
The Currane native has been part of the Rovers Family from a young age and has represented the club both as a player and a coach at underage and junior level. He always showed an interest in the extra-curricular activities of the club and during his teenage years, Seanie was involved in the coaching of many different boys/girls teams ranging from all age groups. Alongside this, he has been key in the developments of many young talents in the club. At the ripe age of 22, he has become something of a club stalwart. He will be missed by everyone involved in the club. Seanie is the perfect role model for the younger generations coming through the club's underage system. He is a ‘true club man.’
After undertaking a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Management and Coaching in pursuit of his dream career, Seanie has proven to any doubters that dreams can come true. As he now embarks on his latest chapter of what will be a roaring success of a coaching career, Seanie will be working closely alongside former Nottingham Forest and Rangers Manager Mark Warburton. He will also be presented with the opportunity of working with young Irish prospects, Conor Masterson and Olamide Shodipo.
