🏊 Spike Island Swim - Friday 25th July 🏊

Mariners are advised that a swimming event will take place today, Friday 25th July, between Spike Island and Cobh, with approx. 25-50 swimmers entering the water from 17:30hrs.

The route crosses the main navigational channel and will be closely monitored by safety boats and sea-kayaks. All swimmers are expected to be ashore by 18:30hrs.

We kindly ask all vessels to:
Keep well clear of swimmers
Minimise wash in the area
Follow instructions from safety craft
Avoid crossing the swim route

Safety boats will monitor VHF Channel 12 throughout the event.

Thank you for your cooperation in supporting a safe and successful community swim!
