Balbriggan Man: “That your dog?”

Stamullen Man: “Yep.”

Balbriggan Man: “Mind if I talk to him?”

Stamullen Man: “The dog doesn't speak.”

Balbriggan Man: “Alright dog, how’s it goin' our?”

Dog: “Not bad, pal.”

Stamullen Man: (stares in shock)

Balbriggan Man: “That your owner?” (points at the Stamullen Man)

Dog: “It is.”

Balbriggan Man: “Is he treatin' ya alright?”

Dog: “Brilliant. Walks me twice a day, good grub, even takes me to the park at the weekend.”

Stamullen Man: (jaw drops)

Balbriggan Man: “Mind if I talk to your horse?”

Stamullen Man: “The horse doesn't talk either.”

Balbriggan Man: “Alright horse, how’s things our?”

Horse: “Sound, mate.”

Stamullen Man: (utterly shocked)

Balbriggan Man: “That your owner?”

Horse: “Yeah.”

Balbriggan Man: “He lookin' after ya?”

Horse: “Too right. Brushes me, rides me, keeps me cosy in a stable.”

Stamullen Man: (can’t believe his eyes)

Balbriggan Man: “Mind if I have a word with your sheep our lad?”

Stamullen Man: “...nah, THAT SHEEP’S A LIAR”
