If you ever found yourself wondering if Dean and Owen talk to eachother like normal people outside of the podcast, the answer is no. They do not. The podcast is just an extension of their normal every day conversations, which says more about them as a collective than anything else.

If they were still doing seasons, this would have counted as Season 5. But they’re not, so it doesn’t. While Wetbrain Cheeks did go through their usual middle of the year hiatus, the ever present hunger for chaos and nonsense was stronger than ever before. The pure, unadulterated NEED to assault the ears of those who think critically was almost too much to bare. And with that need, came acceptance. Acceptance that this is who Wetbrain Cheeks are. Unreliable, unrelenting and unrealistic deadlines for all of the past, present and future projects. Chaos condensed. A condescension compress of unqualified opinions. This is Wetbrain Cheeks.

Season 4 started strong(ish) for Wetbrain Cheeks with the Dalai Lama making sure there was enough material for a season opener - but life started to get even weirder and the format changed from seasonal, to episodic, suiting the chaotic release schedule a bit more. Technically, Season 4 contains only Father Lama and Yesterdays News. Anything beyond that, is just pure Wetbrain baby.

By the time season 3 came around, Summer 2022 was beginning to creep into full effect. New guests, new specials. But it wasn’t just summer flirting shamelessly with Wetbrain Cheeks, it was inconsistency too, the sweaty bitch. The monthly episodes seemed to work for the most part ending on the strong note of Dean and Owen solving Global Warming in 2023 but darkness was to follow.
