Waterways Ireland have asked us to communicate below, the Locks will be closed from 19th Jan for approx 14 weeks.
When they were closed in the past WI provided a free ferry service bringing pedestrians across the basin so as not to cause too much inconvenience.

First event of 2026 🥳 Sandymount Community Centre put on an amazing expanded dramatic and musical presentation of James Joyce's 'The Dead'. Directed by Rodney Devitt with a super cast, the evening was absolutely brilliant! Well done to everyone, really enjoyed this! 📷 Louise

David Singleton is the latest artist to exhibit in The Smallest Gallery in Ireland in the Fair-Play Cafe. Stunning artwork! So vibrant and colourful, such a talented artist.
