It’s a beautiful start to the longest day of the year - the unfortunate thing is, it’s all downhill from here…
When you read through the list of names who have graced the stage in Slane since that first gig in 1981, many of them were only starting out and would ultimately go on to become headliners themselves but the original was only from down the road (Thin Lizzy) as were the support act (U2).
All that and what followed was the dream of one man with a vision that gave young, up and coming bands a chance. RIP Lord Henry…
