The W7/EI2HI radio shack (May 2025) while operating in Monument Valley, Utah, USA 🇺🇸. What a stunning location, most memorable to say the least .Very different temperatures from operating W0/EI2HI in the snow up 14,000 feet on Pikes Peak, Colorado Springs, Colorado, a week earlier which was stunning too 🙃👍

Arrived today confirming a 10m SSB QSO back in 2001 with BQ9P on Pratas Island (No.4 on DXCC mosted wanted list). A big thank you to Steve KU9C the QSL Manager who was so helpful as I was 'very late to the party' with my Clublog OQRS request. Having worked BQ9P 24yrs ago, I recently went through my old paper logbooks to realise that I had overlooked where that Dxpedition was and never looked for confirmation back then. But in true ham spirit, Steve KU9C was so helpful to me with his prompt email replies and his 2 attempts at getting a QSL to me via 'snail mail'. Thankfully the BQ9P QSL Card arrived today. Thank you again Steve KU9C for all your help 👍

There is something very special about the 'old fashioned' paper QSLs 😉

Had a nice 20M QSO this morning with Gabe NJ7H who was Aeronautical Mobile in a Boeing 767 Cargo Aircraft flying at 36000ft over Florida on his way to Cincinnati from Costa Rica. Thank you Gabe 👍

Conditions fantastic on 10m SSB this evening (26th of Feb) from California as Joe N6YYO who reduced his tx power to 100milliwatts and was still coming through to Ireland. Solar Cycle 25 coming along nicely 👍

The latest batch of QSLs to arrive in recent weeks confirming CW and SSB contacts into Swains Island, French Polynesia, North Cook Islands, Samoa, Lord Howe Island, Chatham Islands, Vanuatu, Ducie Island and Tuvalu. All were Autumn 2023 Dxpeditions (except VP6A which was June 2023) to these entities in the South Pacific. Let's hope for more of the same in 2024 👍

It is amazing what you will find on ebay these days 😁. My old QSL Card confirming a QSO back in 1994 when the 40m band was just 7.000mhz to 7.100mhz.

Last night (31st of August) I had a great 21mhz SSB QSO with Con WA7E who was Areonautical Mobile in a Delta Airlines Boeing 737 Aircraft at 35,000FT over Nebraska on a flight from Portland, Oregan to Atlanta, Georgia. Con was operating the aircrafts 400W shunt-fed Collins radio for this contact. Thank you Con 👍
