Is lavender good for pollinators? Sure it is. Here’s why.

Lavender is a fantastic plant for pollinators because it offers so much of what they need—its flowers are packed with nectar, making it a favorite for bees, butterflies, and hoverflies. It blooms from late spring through summer, giving pollinators a steady food source when they need it most. The vibrant purple color and strong fragrance are especially appealing to bees, and the flower structure makes it easy for them to land and feed. Plus, lavender is low-maintenance and often grown without pesticides, which makes it a safer choice for garden wildlife. By attracting a variety of pollinators, it also helps support biodiversity and a healthier garden ecosystem.
