A huge thank you to everyone who turned up for our "Walk for Dara" yesterday. We are delighted to announce that we raised €5,237.30 for Autism Dogs Ireland.
A big thanks to all the helpers especially John and Siobhan Phelan, Peter Behan for all his help and for driving the RCD Mobile, Mick and Orla Brennan for all their hard work and getting the high-vis jackets made, Kay Healy and Martina Kearney for helping with registrations, David Walsh for providing the truck, Leo for keeping the tunes going and the spirits high, Johnny Flynn for sponsoring balloons, Shane Kearney for photography, Mary Haughney, Jean Behan and Siobhan Willis, Leo, Jackie and Evan for their sponsorship and of course, Fuzzy, Olivia and Kayla for leading from the front in memory of Dara. What a town. 💜

All of us at Radio Castledermot would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to Fuzzy on the passing of his beloved father, Pat.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Pat's wife Bernie, Fuzzy, Olivia, Kayla, Fuzzy's brother Kieran, Pat's siblings Annie and Dominic and all Pat's extended family and wide circle of friends at this difficult time.

May he rest in peace.

Leinster v Munster tickets!
As part of our "Walk with Dara" fundraiser we are auctioning off a pair of premium tickets to the biggest rivalry in Rugby! Leinster clash with Munster on Saturday afternoon and we have a pair of Croke Park Premium Tickets available to bid on! We have a bid already in of €70 for the pair but I think we can do better than that for this great cause. We are delighted to announce a very special event taking place on Sunday the 26th of October in Castledermot.
Throughout October, Kayla, John, Olivia and Kayla's boyfriend Sean have been taking on the 80k steps challenge in aid of Austism Assistance Dogs Ireland and in memory of Dara.
Now it's time for all of us to help them on their way and join in the challenge! We are going to meet at Teach Diarmada at 12.30 that day and walk a 3k route around the town. There will be purple high-vis vests available for a €10 donation on the day and everyone is encouraged to turn the town purple for this special event.
Let's all get together in memory of Dara and in aid of this wonderful cause!
