It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Patrick “Paddy” Nolan.
Founder of Nolan Sound, innovator, and true pioneer.

Paddy began his journey in sound in the 1960s in London, handcrafting valve amplifiers with passion and precision. Returning to Ireland in the late 1970s, he founded Nolan Sound & Lighting and helped shape the live music experience, working with some of Ireland’s biggest stars—most notably his dear friend Joe Dolan.

He’ll be remembered not only for his technical brilliance, but for his warmth, dedication, and love of music.

Paddy created countless opportunities for others—mentoring, supporting and opening doors in an industry that can be hard to break into. Many careers were launched because Paddy believed in people and gave them a chance.

Thank you, Paddy, for the memories and the music.
Your sound will echo on.
