A few more photographs from Faro de Fisterra, Spain. Congratulations again to the wonderful group who walked from Sarria to Faro de Fisterra, 228.5km / 142 miles.

It’s easy to see why this place is described as… the end of the world. Buen Camino.

Walking on the Camino Frances & Camino Finisterre, Day 11. Last day.

We did it! Today we walked 17.5km / 10.87 miles from Cee to Faro de Fisterra… and the end of the world. The group has now successfully walked from Sarria to the tip of Fisterra Peninsula. That is a wonderful achievement.

It did sprinkle a bit of rain 30 minutes before reaching the Camino Finisterre KM 0.000 Marker but that didn’t matter. The only rain we had on our trip so far.

It as another great group and I’m delighted everyone had the opportunity to walk on the Camino Frances and all of the Camino Finisterre. Celebrations tonight! Buen Camino.

Camino Frances & Camino Finisterre, Day 10. It was another tough day of walking but the stunning mountain scenery kept us going. We walked from Mazaricos to Cee, 29.5km / 18.45 miles.

We started the day with a short excursion to see ancient burial tombs from 4,500 BC. Amazing!

Everyone enjoyed walking in the mountains. Lots and lots of views. It’s hard to believe that tomorrow we reach Finisterre. We can’t wait. Buen Camino.

Walking on the Camino Frances & Camino Finisterre, Day 9. Today we walked the longest and toughest day of our trip, 30.5km / 18.95 miles from Negreira to Mazaricos. We also ascended over 2,362 ft.

Now that is an impressive day of walking. The group did amazing! The weather is getting cooler each day which does help when we are outside walking for 6-8+ hours a day.

Everyone is fed, relaxing and looking forward to tomorrow’s walk on the Camino Finisterre. Buen Camino

Day 8 of the guided Camino walking trip. Today we left Santiago de Compostela, Spain to begin our four day walk on the Camino Finisterre.

It was a different feeling leaving the city as opposed to finishing at the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. You quickly realize the far fewer numbers of people walking. It was a nice and pleasant start to the day.

We walked 25km /15.5 miles to the city of Negreira. It was still very hot in the afternoon which made that 1.8 mile climb on 10% grade a bit more challenging.

Everyone did fantastic and looking forward to tomorrow and the longest distance section of our 15-day trip. It will be an early start. Buen Camino.
