On July 12, 2025, I led an Outdoor Photography Workshop at the stunning Castletown House and Parklands in Celbridge, Co. Kildare.

Over the course of 3.5 hours, a small group of enthusiastic photographers joined me to explore the landscape while learning practical outdoor photography techniques. Along our 4km loop walk, we stopped at several carefully selected locations to discuss and apply concepts such as ISO, aperture, shutter speed, composition, framing, long exposure and time-lapse photography.

What made the day special was the opportunity to get outside, walk, chat and focus on the craft of outdoor photography while spending time with a small group who shared a genuine interest in learning and practicing new skills in the field.

I thoroughly enjoyed leading this workshop and the feedback was very positive. I'm currently planning additional events for later this year.

I drove to Kinvara, Co. Galway yesterday to capture some content of Dunguaire Castle. I got there in time to capture the sunset. The primary focus was to hopefully photograph the Aurora Borealis that was forecast to possibly reach Ireland.

I was up all night patiently waiting but no luck with the Northern Lights. I did capture 800+ nighttime photographs for a nice time-lapse. Overall, I’m still happy with the photographs that I captured

Good morning from Carolina Beach, NC. I've woken up several times the past week to capture the sunrise with zero luck. A bit too much cloud cover looking east.

But this morning I was greeted with an amazing sunrise. Wow, it was beautiful. Spectacular colours!

I think it’s about to rain. I highly recommend leaving the beach ASAP. A nice thunderstorm about to dump some rain. It’s been a while since I heard thunder like this. Wow!!

I always love waking up early to experience the sunrise at the beach. I'm enjoying all the sunshine and warm temps at Carolina Beach. This is one of my favorite places to visit on the planet. So many wonderful memories here. I'm looking forward to a few more sunrises during this US visit.
