Episode 4 out now: In this episode Darren Butler and Transition Year students from Colaiste Cois Siuire who are leaving their mark on their community, they gathered questions as part of a Mooncoin Parish Drug Awareness Programme from their fellow students to compliment the ongoing work of the teachers and will be part of the Information & Education module we will complete with the Transition Year in 2023.

The questions range from signs of addiction to why do people take drugs? And many more interesting questions in between. The Podcast is part of the ongoing work of the Mooncoin Drug Initiative.

🎧 PLEASE SHARE: Ahead of Temperance Sunday, this Sunday 27th February, the Irish Bishops' Drugs Initiative (IBDI) has launched the 'Leave Your Mark' , to raise awareness about the impact gambling, drugs and alcohol addiction can have on young people's lives.

Episode one features a discussion between midfielder and 2021 All-Ireland winner, Conn Kilpatrick, and the 2002 All-Ireland winner, Oisín McConville of , sharing their personal experience with gambling addiction.

Welcoming the new podcast series, Bishop Michael Router of the IBDI said:

"Addiction is a frightening aspect of life in Ireland today. ...Especially in this digital era, gambling has become a huge problem that is destroying lives and livelihoods and is so interwoven with popular sports events..."

"This series of podcasts... will help to highlight the problems that exist, and how those who have struggled with addiction have overcome their challenges. It will provide guidance and hope to people that there is a way out of addiction and that there are services to turn to when needed."
