Tipperary University Hospital is extremely busy, with large numbers of people presenting to the Emergency Department.

We ask that the public consider all care options at this time, including local GP/GP out-of-hours services, in the first instance.

All emergencies will still be treated as a priority, however those who do not require urgent care may experience longer waiting times.

Hospital Management would like to thank the public for their support and understanding at this time.

We are all saddened to hear that after all these years in Clonmel, Golden Discs is to close on Sunday next. The team that worked there over the years were always very courteous and helpful. Most of us remember the 1980s when the shop was at the heart of the O'Connell Mall. Back then we also had quite a few record stores, Deck1, the Sound centre ,HYT records and after Sunday they will all be but a memory. Golden Discs also gave us a rare chance to experience Irish acts perform in store at album launches. To the staff of Golden Discs past and present, thank you. Feel free to share your memories below.

NOTICE OF EXTINGUISHMENT OF PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY AT EAST LANE (L-76051-1) Clonmel
Notice is hereby given that Tipperary County Council in pursuance of Section 73 of the Roads Act, 1993 proposes to make an order extinguishing a public right of way on East Lane (L-76051-1), the laneway linking Gladstone Street and Mitchell Street, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary as shown on drawing No. TCC/EX/2026A (approximately 90m in length).
Submissions or observations may be made in writing to Liam Brett, Director of Services, Roads and Transportation, Tipperary County Council, Civic Offices, Limerick Road, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary no later than 12.00 noon on 16 October 2026.
