Story TIME!!

‘When we were setting up the new record the label (as usual) asked us for some video content. With zero budget we set out to make videos of the four “singles” One of my faves was the video for “When Will The Morning Come” We had these angel wings in our basement that we never got use for my “Sexsmith & Sixty” show so I had this vague idea of me just walking around the yard with the wings and my guitar etc. Colleen directed it with the help of our friend Deidra and then we sent it to the great CJ Wallis who took our footage and created this sweet homage to the silent era filmmaker Georges Meiles. I made a lot of lousy videos in the 90’s that cost a fortune. But the 4 videos we made on a shoestring or no-string budget were so much better’ - RS

There’s more to life than being really, really ridiculously good-looking. - Derek Zoolander - Dear Rouge (JK)

Indulging in things that bring you joy is one of those things!! Enter Dear Rouge’s ‘Lonesome High’. As the 📼 suggests, the album is best listened to in order 🤝.

‘Set Me Free is a song completely from my own imagination. The loneliness of a used car looking for a new owner, most likely its last.’ - Kiefer Sutherland

“‘Hole In My Heart’ flew out of me when I was sitting in a sunny room trying to contend with this incredible feeling of joy and gladness. After feeling scared and lonely and unsure of everything, someone came along and changed my life. ’We all live alone... but do you want to live alone together?’. It’s about making a commitment to living as two, together, against the odds.” - Martha Wainwright

One of many standouts from 2021’s ‘Love Will Be Reborn’!

‘There’s something powerful about speaking your fears aloud; it takes away their control. So why not dance on them too?

What are some of your fears? Put on this track and join the party. Chances are, we share some of the same fears to dance away.

Sing it loud, name your fears, and let’s dance on them together. 🕺‘ - Dear Rouge

Martha’s voice is simply one of a kind, isn’t it!?

Ah, yes. ‘Lovin’ You Ain’t Easy’.

A blast from the past in the form of a message from TCH in advance of the release of this gem from ‘Explosive Hits Vol. 1’ (very much available NOW for your listening pleasure):

‘How are you feeling about what you’ve heard from The Transcanada Highwaymen’s upcoming album, Explosive Hits Vol.1, so far? We once read that artists need to ask questions in their social media posts in order to get the kind of engagement that makes record labels and booking agents sit up and take notice, but we have a penchant for sentences that run on too long and wind up losing the point of the question, which negates the intent of the entire post. Oh well.

TL;DR: Appropriate answers are “I’m loving Pretty Lady!” or “The whole family can’t get enough of Tonite Is A Wonderful Time To Fall In Love,” or, the algorithmically-endorsed “Can’t wait until next Friday, when Lovin’ You Ain’t Easy, originally performed by Michel Pagliaro, now covered by Trans-Canada Highwaymen, featuring the voice of Sloan’s Chris Murphy, drops!’
