What is Faith to you?

English footballer Eberechi Eze recently shared how his Christian faith has shaped both his life and career.

Speaking about the challenges, pressures, and uncertainties that come with professional football, Eze described faith as an "anchor" in his life — something that keeps him grounded regardless of success or setbacks.

"We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure." — Hebrews 6:19

What keeps you anchored when life gets challenging?

🌊⚓ Cork Harbour Festival 2026 is Here! ⚓🌊
Get ready for 10 days of maritime culture, heritage, adventure, and family fun as the Cork Harbour Festival returns from 30th May to 8th June 2026 across Cork City and the surrounding harbour towns.

With over 100 events planned, there’s something for everyone — from kayaking, sailing, guided walks, exhibitions, music, art, poetry, workshops, seafood experiences, maritime history tours, and family-friendly activities. Spectators can enjoy the action from locations including Crosshaven, Cobh, Monkstown, Passage West, Blackrock, and Cork City.

We met Elizabeth Keating on the streets of Mallow as she was handing out leaflets inviting people to church and Bible studies, while sharing the hope and love she found in Jesus Christ.

Elizabeth shared a powerful testimony about faith, healing, freedom, and restoration after years of fear, addiction, sickness, trauma, and brokenness.

She spoke about crying out to Jesus during one of the darkest periods of her life and how, through faith, she experienced peace, freedom, and a new beginning.

She encourages others now not to give up, that no life is beyond hope and no person is beyond the love and mercy of God

“All things are possible with God.”

Coming up today on Bread and Jam from 1pm–2pm with Bernadette

Joining the show is Pr. Paul David from Bangalore, South India, currently visiting Ireland as part of a healing and outreach ministry.

Alongside Fionán, the conversation will explore faith, culture, Irish history, and the connections between Ireland and India.

The discussion will also touch on the story of Terence MacSwiney, the former Lord Mayor of Cork, whose hunger strike and sacrifice for Irish freedom went on to inspire leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi in India.

From gospel outreach and widows ministry in India to Irish history and cultural influence, it promises to be a thoughtful and inspiring conversation.

A 78-year-old retired pastor in Northern Ireland has reportedly been convicted after preaching from John 3:16 near a hospital area covered by abortion buffer zone legislation.

According to reports, Pastor Clive Johnston stated that he was preaching the Gospel and not specifically addressing abortion.

The case has sparked widespread discussion around freedom of religion, freedom of speech, and the public sharing of Christian faith in today’s society.

As Christians, we see the importance of standing firm in faith, while continuing to share truth with wisdom, grace, and compassion.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son...” — John 3:16
