If you were wondering what we are up to, take a look at the progress of the renovations at the Farranree Community Center where we operate from.

New doors at the front and in a hall leading to the studios. As you can see there is still work to be done on the studio interior.

Our editors got a new illumination for their "den" and we were assured that we can go full steam ahead soon(ā„¢), so stay tuned.

Intrepid reporters Darren, and new recruit Andy, called to St. Fin Barre' s Cathedral to speak to the current steeple keeper Marcus Calvert, who has been a ringer for the last 35 years.

Marcus was due to lead a practise session for the ringers, and took an hour beforehand to talk us through the detailed history of the Cathedral and its previous iterations, as well as the operation of its twelve bells.

We are proud to invite volunteers to collaborate on creating radio programs dedicated to the Polish community in Cork!

We are looking for determined and creative individuals who want to represent and showcase Polish culture, language, and community.

We offer access to professional equipment and training in radio program production, and while experience is welcomed, it is not essential.

A conversational level of English will be useful in communicating with the station team (the supervisor speaks Polish ;)).

Interested individuals are welcome to contact us via the form at cr.ie/contact (simply scan the QR code).

April’s exhibition at Mayfield Library is titled ā€˜Land’ and features a series of outstanding Irish landscape scenes in oil by Philip Murphy.

ā°April 28 Tuesday at 11.00 am in Mayfield Library
Philip will visit the library to give a painting demonstration and a Q&A session for Cork’s Lifelong Learning Festival.

A native of Finglas, Dublin and now living in Ashford, Co. Wicklow, Philip reflects in his art on man’s passing impact on the landscape. On its temporary nature, even across multiple generations, in remote and striking places which we no longer inhabit or could never have inhabited. Be it mountain, bog or ditch.
