KILLYMARD PARISH WELCOMES FR. JAMES SWEENEY

Congratulations to Fr. James Sweeney on being installed as Parish Priest of St. Mary’s Church, Killymard, Donegal Town, by Monsignor Kevin Gillespie, last Saturday evening. He was afforded a very warm welcome by the parishioners. Clergy who joined the celebrations were Fr. James Gillespie, Rev Angus Mc Cullough, Red John Montgomery, Venerable David Huss & Rev Susan Elliot.

IN ATHENS TO PLAY FREE LIVE GIG
New Killybegs band "In Athens" are playing a free gig in the Harbour Bar tommorow night Fri 28th Nov. They will be supported by other Donegal Bands. The gig is part of their Irish Tour launch and record deal with Blowtorch Records.

12 DIPS OF CHRISTMAS IS BACK
This years' "12 Dips of Christmas" which starts on Dec 12th will again support the amazing Liquid Therapy charity which has enhanced the physical & mental lives of hundreds of people through the magic of the sea.
The event will also support the Shane Gillespie Memorial Fund. Shane passsed away aged just 39 after sudden illness. A giant of a character both on and off the rugby pitch, the fund is run by Donegal Town RFC in his memory by helping local schools, hospitals etc.
The 12 Dips are for EVERYONE from 1st to 24th Dec. You can do it your own way, wherever you like in your own time. Whether it’s a group dip or twelve solo plunges ( but never swim alone).

We, the family of the late Eamonn Feeley, wish to extend our heartfelt and sincere thanks to all those who showed us such great support and sympathy on our recent sad loss. Thank you to everyone who attended the wake and the funeral, to those who stood along the road on Eamonn’s final journey to Clar and to those who visited us afterwards. We thank you for all the messages of condolence, Mass Cards, Sympathy Cards and for all Masses said. We appreciate the great generosity and thoughtfulness of our neighbours and friends during this sad time.
We would like to extend our gratitude to all those who helped out at the wake and on the morning of the funeral, to the people who directed traffic and to those who brought food and refreshments to the house.
A sincere thank you to both Cassidy and Shovlin Undertakers for the helpful and personal manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements. Many thanks to the grave diggers also.
A special word of thanks to Fr. James Gillespie who attended the house, helped us prepare for Eamonn’s funeral Mass and who con-celebrated the funeral Mass with Fr. Carroll (Cregg House). Many thanks to Fr. Carroll for travelling from Sligo to con-celebrate the funeral Mass. Eamonn’s funeral Mass was made all the more special, thanks to the lovely singing and music provided by Brian Sullivan and members of Clar Choir.
Many thanks to the Abbey Hotel for providing sandwiches during the wake and to The Harbour Restaurant for bringing hot food after the wake and for the lovely meal after the funeral.
We are grateful to the Ambulance Service who attended to Eamonn on his passing and to An Garda Síochána who also attended and for directing traffic on the morning of the funeral.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a sincere expression of our appreciation to all. The sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for all your intentions.
