If a couple’s wedding was blessed by a pastor, and years later that pastor is exposed as corrupt or harmful, how would you feel about it?
At first, it might feel upsetting even disappointing because someone who stood at such an important moment in your life turned out to be untrustworthy. It can make you question the memory of that day.

Many young girls in Nigeria who later display what people call “promiscuous” or “unruly” behavior did not simply choose that path. In many cases, they experienced abuse from trusted adults,family members, relatives, neighbors, or family friends. The trauma from these experiences often goes unaddressed, leaving them to carry deep pain, disappointment, guilt, and shame on their own.
Without proper healing and support, that unresolved trauma can continue to shape how they see themselves and how they relate to others. It may affect their behavior, their sense of self-worth, and their ability to build or maintain friendships and relationships. Trust can become especially difficult, making healthy connections harder to sustain.
