On his final day as President of Ireland, let’s take a moment to celebrate Michael D. Higgins, who has represented our nation with such warmth, wisdom, and dignity over the past 14 years 👏🏻💚

As he prepares to return home to Galway with his wife Sabina and their beloved Bernese Mountain Dog, Misneach, it’s clear he’s leaving behind a legacy filled with compassion, kindness, and integrity.

In true presidential style, Misneach has been making the most of his last few weeks exploring Phoenix Park, enjoying walks and playtime with his four-legged friends, a fitting farewell to the place that’s been their home for so many years 🐾

Thank you, President Higgins, for your service, your empathy, and your unwavering dedication to Ireland. Wishing you, Sabina, and Misneach a happy and peaceful retirement 🇮🇪
