Finger lickin’good 😋 …
This is my take on the KFC Chicken Wrap, with a side of gravy!
It’s crispy, delicious + high protein, and it costs less than half price to an actual KFC wrap, one of the many reasons I love cooking from home 🥰
Ingredients (makes 2 wraps)
* 2 Wrap
* 1 chicken breast (cut into 4 fillets)
* 1/2 cup buttermilk
* 2 tsp paprika
* 2 tsp oregano
* 2 tsp garlic powder
* 1 tsp onion powder
* 1 tsp celery salt
* 1 tsp black pepper
* Pinch of salt
* 2 tbsp flour
* 1 egg, beaten
* 2 cups crushed cornflakes
* 2 slices burger cheese
* Handful of lettuce
* Tomato slices (optional)
* 2 tbsp homemade KFC-style gravy (butter, flour, chicken stock, black pepper, onion & garlic powder and 1 tbsp of chicken gravy granules)
Method
1️⃣ Marinate the chicken in buttermilk and seasonings for at least 30 minutes (the longer the better).
2️⃣ Coat each fillet in flour, then egg, then crushed cornflakes.
3️⃣ Air fry at 200°C for 12–15 minutes, turning halfway, until golden and cooked through.
4️⃣ Warm the protein wrap and add lettuce, tomato, cheese, and crispy chicken.
5️⃣ Dunk into the homemade gravy, or enjoy by itself! Enjoy!
