Say hello to .music ~ our 4th act performing MudIsland for Culture Night | Oíche Chultúir 2026!🌻🔊

“Locanda’s project revolves around the original compositions of Pilar Paradela (vocals).

Their sound fuses rumba with Latin jazz and flamenco, with optimistic, socially-themed lyrics and catchy melodies that invite the audience to dance. High good-energy live act.”

Delighted to introduce our 3rd artist for Culture Night Dublin, the brilliant Emmet O'Brien! 🌻🔊

“Emmet O’Brien is a poet from Cabra and one of the defining voices of Dublin’s spoken word resurgence — the scene’s own filídh, as one profile crowned him.

Best known for viral pieces The North Side and Dirty Dublin, he has published collections of poetry, founded the poetry-and-music night Vybrations to give newcomers a stage, and built a devoted following for performances that swing from grief to giddiness inside a single line.

This is working-class Dublin storytelling with the guard fully down — faith, loss, mental health and the neighbourhood that made him. When the last line lands, you’ll know all about it.”

Catch Emmet at The Bunker from 8pm on September 18th.

2 weeks out from Culture Night Dublin ~ time for our first artist announcement!

“SHALLO is an alternative rock/metal duo from Dublin.

Despite only being a duo, their sound has been described as ‘massive’ and ‘full’ by many audiences. They employ fuzzy bass noises and heavy, sweaty drums with a mixture of clean singing and aggressive screaming. Stories of mental health struggles and the reality of living as minorities are told through music, all while trying to look sexy onstage.

Every venue they play experiences what it means to be part of SHALLO - fun and silliness coupled with fierce and electrifying performances through their unique blend of lifelong musical inspirations and years of friendship.

In April 2023, they released their debut single ‘Mirror’, marking their first step into the Irish music scene and showing exactly what they can achieve with only two people. Two years later, they released ‘Betrayal’ in spite of guitarists and bigots around the world. Rumour has it, there is more music on the horizon…”
