Marcella Reyes Doherty – A Rising Star from Tallaght

Born in 2016 in the vibrant community of Tallaght, Dublin, Marcella Reyes Doherty is an exceptionally talented young actress whose natural charisma and passion for performance have been turning heads since her earliest years. With a rich cultural heritage—an Irish father and a Venezuelan mother—Marcella brings a unique warmth, expressiveness, and versatility to every role she takes on.

Marcella’s love for the screen started long before she could walk. Her father, Andrew Doherty, once owned the well-known Black Abyss Studios in Tallaght, and from the time she was born, Marcella was a regular on set. Whether it was watching behind the scenes or sneaking in a cameo, she was captivated by the magic of filmmaking. That early exposure has given her an ease and confidence on camera that belies her age.

Now just 8 years old, Marcella has already built an impressive portfolio, appearing in a number of short films and commercials. Her ability to take direction, improvise naturally, and switch between accents has made her a favorite among directors and crew. She’s often described as an old soul in a young body—wise beyond her years, emotionally intelligent, and deeply connected to the characters she portrays.

CALLING ALL RESIDENTS OF BALLYFERMOT
We're doing a positive piece that will highlight the great people of Ballyfermot on Wednesday 27th November. We'll have two camera crews in Cherry Orchard & Ballyfermot Road filming pieces for the video.

Young Ballyfermot Rapper Just Josh has made an exciting new song with children from St.Ultans & St.Setans Schools including Summer Kershaw singing on the chorus.

The song is about inspiring young people from disadvantaged areas that they can be what they want to be no matter what area they hail from, weather it is a doctor, Astronaut, singer, Actor etc.

We'll be also filming in Mary Queen Of Angels primary school, Willie's Barbers, Jackie's Florist, Food Inn, Cherry Orchard Running Club, The Colloseum Gym and many more places in the area. If anybody wants to be involved in spreading this positive message about the area there will be alot of eyes on this project. If anyone wants to get involved in any aspect get in touch with us.

We'll be looking for dancer's all ages for a big Scene on Croftwood Gardens in the evening time, We'll have Big H spinning the decks and we want a big performance piece, We have a girl playing a piano on the green and some Irish Dancers already involved, We need hip hop dancers and Any other form of dancers to get involved.

THIS WILL BE BALLYFERMOT SENDING A MESSAGE TO THE REST OF IRELAND THAT WE ARE A COMMUNITY THAT IS FULL OF TALENT AND WE WONT BE OVERLOOKED AND GIVEN LESSOR OPPORTUNITIES TO SUCCEED IN WHATEVER WE WANT TO ACHIEVE BECAUSE THE MEDIA PORTRAYS US IN A NEGATIVE LIGHT
