Introducing Shayan Chakraborty, a very talented music producer with a deep-rooted passion for everything which involves sound and film. 

A few of his Indie projects include producing songs for his band, The Moonflares Collective, and a song collaboration with The Shreedhya Sisters.
Besides this, he also has a brilliant track record in Bollywood as a music producer/composer scoring for TV and film. 
He is currently teaching Recording Arts at Maynooth University, Dublin. 

While speaking to him, we got to know that he has a shared interest in photography and visual arts and that his music draws much inspiration from the works of Max Cooper, Nerve, Bon Iver and Olafur Arnalds. He also takes inspiration from Japanese anime and their expert blending of audio-visual technicalities, which makes his sound-scaping distinct. 

According to Shayan, the vision for Bahaav, came to him in a day-dream. He says, the band will have a very rich sound palette and that the audience will love the storytelling! 

Fun trivia -  We asked what his superpower was? And he said "I can hear music in everything and everyone".

Sunith was born and raised in a small town of India. At a young age he started to play the guitar for fun, which transformed into a deep passion for music and which carried to adulthood through constant dedication. 

His goal has always been to blend various musical influences, infusing elements of different genres and styles into his own unique sound.
Through 'Bahaav' and his songs, he has indeed crafted some timeless captivating melodies. 

Like most artists who believe that music has the power to inspire, heal, and bring people together - he is no different. Through his artistry, he aims to create a musical journey that resonates with the audience, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts and souls. 

Fun trivia - His favourite quote is - "The mind is like a parachute,open and it will work wonders". 

He is also a mathwiz!

This is a stanza worded by Simma, beautifully crafted in one of her own songs 'Sambaddha'.

As we listen to her songs, we can see how unique her storytelling is and how high she sets the bar for otherworldly compositions.
She's collaborated with a lot of Folk artists from Nepal and with her incredible exposure to different styles and genre, she's become an invaluable part of Bahaav.

Besides singing she also loves to tell stories through her awesome dance moves. Her recent release 'Jai Jaaney Mayalu' is already stealing hearts.

Nonetheless, we are very glad to have her as our lead singer who brings originality, technique and fun to the band!

Fun trivia - She loves to be around trees and water and she loves sushi and Darjeeling momos!
