In case you missed it, our artistic director Garry Hynes was on RTÉ Radio 1 last weekend chatting to Dearbhail McDonald on The Brendan O'Connor Show.

Garry picked five music tracks that spoke to different parts of her life including her college days in Galway and J1 summers in New York.

She also spoke about our 50th anniversary and Patrick Lonergan's new history book on Druid, 'Druid Theatre: Fifty Years', published by Lilliput Press.

'One of the most evocative and beautifully written books I have read in a long time.' Marita Conlon-McKenna

We are delighted to reveal the cover for THE LOCK-KEEPER'S WIFE by JOHN MACKENNA 🌟

In rural mid-century Ireland, Julie McDermot lives an isolated life by the canal docks with her unloving husband. Haunted by grief and the aching absence of what might have been, a chance encounter with a stranger offers Julie the fragile possibility of hope. Deeply evocative, this stunning portrait of a woman's life explores Ireland's dark history of institutional incarceration and the resilience required to reclaim an identity the world has tried to silence.

Out 19 February, The Lock-Keeper's Wife is available to pre-order now from our website via the link in our bio ✨️
