🎵 The Place That’s Never Been Wounded — Out Next Friday
I know this place is often where we share highlights. The wins and the polished versions of our work.
And I love that. But in the creative industry (like in any job), there’s another side too.
A few years ago, within a month, I was dropped by my record label, publisher, and podcast platform.
It was chaos. My sense of identity, which had become completely tied up in my work, was flattened.
I’ve always understood that rejection is part of the game. But this time felt particularly brutal. It came right after COVID, when our entire industry had already been shaken to its core. I told myself I’d never put anything out again. I didn’t want to open myself up to that kind of hit.
But with time and space, I let the rejection do what it needed to do. It hurt. And then, slowly, it softened.
One day, I sat back down at the piano and decided I wanted to tell this story —the story of the part of us that remains steady when the world shakes. The part that always helps us find our way through.
That project became The Place That’s Never Been Wounded.
And next Friday, it’s finally being released into the world.
It’s nerve-wracking. It’s exciting. And it’s something I’m deeply proud of, not because it’s perfect, but because it came from rejection, fear, and, ultimately, healing.
If any of this connects with you, and you’d like to support the work, the best way you can do that is by pre-ordering the record.
It genuinely makes a huge difference in helping me cover the costs of creating and releasing the album.

It’s also such an honour to work with creatives from my hometown, Mullingar. Often we have this tendency to believe we need to go far , or somewhere else to find people to work with in that regard. Im lucky I grew up with them .cullen . Top class talent.
And to my label . Such a difference working with people who don’t look at metrics and followers first, but the quality of the music . Nice one .
