Many of us know Kathleen as she sells plants, flowers shrubs and lots of other garden items on the corner of Thomas Street and Meath Street. She works long hours and always has a chat and smile for locals. On April 3rd She is doing a walk for "The Climb with Charlie" in aid of Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association and Pieta. While Charlie Bird will do his climb on April 2nd, Kathleen has organized her walk with other Liberies supporters and already over 50 people will make the sponsored walk from Kathleen's Corner to Castleknock and back. As you pass her on Thomas Street do stop and help sponsor her.
There are over 400 people living with Motor Neurone Disease and they are helped by their carers, families and friends.
"My Motor Neurone Disease diagnosis was devastating but I have been overwhelmed by the support I have received from the public and this has been a source of strength for me. I want to use that outpouring of support to help other' Charlie Bird.
