Owen Elding's second half goal was enough to help Sligo Rovers knock Bohs out of the FAI Cup in the third round, in Dalymount Park. He has made a habit of scoring goals against the Gypsies this season. Elding is now looking to replicate what Sligo and his dad, Anthony, did in 2013 by winning the FAI Cup.
Can Sligo go all the way?

Shelbourne 1-3 Rijeka (3-4 agg) 📸⚽️

Tolka was bouncing for another massive European night, but the Croation champions hadn't read the script.

Avoiding defeat would have seen Shels into the Europa League Playoff Round, and a guarantee of group stage football for the first time in the club's history.

However, two unbelievable strikes either side of half-time from Rijeka pair Toni Fruk & Tiago Dantas stunned Joey O'Brien's reds, leaving them on the cusp of elimination.

The game burst into life on 86 minutes when Shelbourne were awarded a penalty after a lengthy VAR check, the spot kick duly slotted home by Mipo Odubeko.

However, there was another final sting in the tail from the visitors, as Ante Orec slotted home in the 89th minute to wild celebrations from the Rijeka bench.

The Croatian side held on to secure a comeback win and a spot in the playoff.

For Shels it means one last chance to grab that first ever group stage qualification when they face either Linfield, who they defeated in a Champions League Qualifier a few weeks ago, or Vikingur of Iceland in the Conference League playoff round next week.

St. Patrick's Athletic 1-4 Besiktas 📸⚽️

A ruthless Besiktas side came to Tallaght and put St. Pat's to the sword in a dominant first half display, lead by a Tammy Abraham hat-trick.

Stephen Kenny's men to their credit came out fighting after the break, an early Simon Power strike raising the noise levels in the stands back up to pre-match levels.

The Inchicore side were the better side in the second half, with Mason Meila also going close during a dominant spell in the first 15 minutes.

A respinse to be proud of, but without being able to find another goal or two it looks a tall order in the return leg in Turkey next week.
