Boulder Media Boulder Media is a Dublin based Animation studio. Established in August 2000.

Boulder has been working with leading broadcasters such as Cartoon Network US (Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends), Nickelodeon (El Tigre) the BBC (Funky Fables), Cartoon Network UK(The Amazing World of Gumball), and most recently a commission from Disney Europe to produce their first original feature Randy Cunningham: Ninth Grade Ninja. Throughout all of these larger productions we have still fo

und time to produce almost a dozen pilots for Disney, Film Roman and the BBC. As well as nurturing our own talented crew by investing in many in-house short films, which have gone on to be screened at film festivals around the world.

It's Thursday and that means we're looking back at some of the fantastic projects our amazing teams have worked on for the last 25 years ✨

Today we're focused on DC Superhero Girls, a series that debuted at the 2018 San Diego Comic-Con and first aired on Cartoon Network in July 2019. A fun, coming of age story, the series follows the teenage ups and downs in the lives of six girls who all have a major secret: they are crime-fighting superheroes! Beloved DC characters like Wonder Woman and Batgirl are given a new lease of life as the show explores their friendships, the value of teamwork and celebrates girl power 🦸‍♀️

We're back with another TBT post to celebrate 25 years of excellence at Boulder, and today we're remembering Littlest Pet Shop - A World of Our Own! 🦜🐱🐶

Airing in 2018, the show tells the story of a group of pets who use a magical portal to leave our human world and enter the world of Paw-Tucket. With memorable characters such as Roxie McTerrier, Quincy Goatee and Edie Von Keet, Littlest Pet Shop - A World of Our Own was a hit with kids everywhere.

Boulder turned 25 this year and we're celebrating our many wonderful productions. We don't have far back to throw our gaze this week as Krapopolis is one of our two primetime shows aired in 2025.

From the brilliant mind of Dan Harmon, Krapopolis is set in an alternate mythical Ancient Greece. The series explores a dysfunctional family - comprised of monsters, gods and humans alike - as they navigate their relationships and try to run one of the world's first cities; disaster and comedic gold ensues! Featuring excellent voice acting talent from a cast that boasts Matt Berry, Hannah Waddingham and Richard Ayoade among others, Krapopolis offers belly laughs week after week.

Season 2 wrapped on Fox in May of this year - keep your eyes peeled and the popcorn ready for Season 3!

As we continue to reminisce on our past productions, let's take a look back at 'Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja'! The show tells the story of Randy, an up-and-coming ninja destined to protect the citizens of Norrisville, his home town. As if that wasn't enough, Randy is also in high school, and journeys through the regular highs and lows of a teenager all while fighting the evil plans of his nemesis, the Sorcerer.



With incredible voice acting talents from the likes of Ben Schwartz, Andrew Caldwell and Tim Curry, 'Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja' is full of heart and laughs. Watch episodes in full on DisneyPlus today! And don't forget, "SMOKEBOMB!"



slide 3: the Boulder team visited Titmouse Inc in LA before the show premiered, as we worked together on the animation for RCNGN. Boulder's founder Rob Cullen, creative director Gillian Comerford, and Crew Anne Tweedy and Pete Lewis made the trip out to the West Coast.

It’s been 25 wonderful years at Boulder Media, and we’re looking back at some of the amazing productions and projects we’ve been involved in over the last quarter of a century. What better place to start than the show that began it all: Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends!

Debuting in August 2004 on Cartoon Network, the show enjoyed a 5-year run, becoming one of the channel’s most popular original works. The show’s art style was inspired by the psychedelic 60s, and Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends received many industry accolades during its time on air, including Emmys for production design, outstanding achievements in animation and outstanding animated program.

We’re so proud to be a part of such a classic kids’ show. What are some of your favourite moments with Mac, Bloo and the rest of the gang?

A big thank you to Brown Bag Films for hosting us at their Annual Anthony Callaghan Memorial Trophy 5-A-Side Tournament. Our team had a great day out, regardless of the results on the scoreboard! Congratulations to Boulder Media on a well deserved victory.
