Featuring renowned author Jia Pingwa (Old Kiln, Broken Wings, The Sojourn Teashop, Mountain Whisperer) and long term collaborator of Sinoist Books James Trapp (Final Witness, Graft, Longevity Park).

This event will be a discussion centered around Old Kiln, Jia's epic centered around the brutality one small village faces within a decade of national upheaval in the 1960s. There will be time to ask both author and translator questions, with teas, coffees, and pastries provided.
