Tune in just after 10pm tonight to Arts Tonight on RTÉ Radio 1 and hear Lisa Godson and Joanna Bruck on the book they edited: 'Making 1916 - Material and Visual Culture of the Easter Rising'. Other contributors to the book and the programme include Pat Cooke, Brian Crowley and Elizabeth Crooke.

On this evening's Arts Tonight on RTÉ Radio 1 just after 10pm - the Art of Sound and Theatre with sound designers and composers Tom Lane, Denis Clohessy, Carl Kennedy and Alma Kelliher recorded in the Project Arts Festival as part of the 2015 Dublin Theatre Festival . Well worth a listen!

Arts Tonight( RTÉ Radio 1) kicks off a new season next Monday 28 September just after 10pm with a broadcast of a public interview between Vincent Woods and playwright Conor McPherson in the Project Arts Centre taking place this Saturday lunchtime 26 September at 1pm as part of the official programme of the 2015 Dublin Theatre Festival, marking the Dublin premier of McPherson's play 'The Night Alive'. This evening's Arts Tonight on RTÉ Radio 1 just after 10pm features an interview recently recorded in IMMA with acclaimed Canadian artist Stan Douglas whose first show in Ireland - Stan Douglas: Mise En Scene - is currently is running there until September. The exhibition's curator Seamus Kealy also talks about Douglas's work and about bringing the show together.

On this evening's Arts Tonight, RTÉ Radio 1, two different considerations of human impact on landscape and life: the legacy of architect Edwin Lutyens, marking the inaugural Howth Midsummer Literary Arts Festival taking place from 5-7 June; and Brian Dillon on his new book 'The Great Explosion'(Penguin) offers a natural history of explosives and their effects on ordinary lives as well as the natural and built landscape.

Just after 10pm tonight on RTÉ Radio 1, another chance to hear an Arts Tonight programme dedicated to author, radio producer and folklorist David Thomson. Terrific contirbutions by Éilis ní Dhuibhne, Luke Dodd, Roy Foster and Julian Vignoles - author of A Delicate Wildness: The LIfe and Times of David Thomson published by the Lilliput Press.

On this evening's Arts Tonight - RTÉ Radio 1 just after 10pm - we focus on the Baroque in music, painting and books - with Baroque violinist Claire Duff (playing Passacagalia from the Mystery Sonatas by Bieber and a new composition - Divisions - by composer Sean Doherty who also is on the programme. Adrian Le Harivel and Audrey Nichols co-curators of the exhibition Passion and Persuasion: Images of Baroque Saints - currently running in the National Gallery of Ireland.

On this evening Arts Tonight with Vincent Woods - 2 March 2015 just after 10pm on RTÉ Radio 1 - we look at Sculptor through Volume 3 of the wonderful 'Art and Architecture of Ireland' series. On the programme hear Paula Murphy, volume editor as well as contributor to the volume, William Gallagher and Cliodhna Shaffrey, Director of Temple Bar Gallery + Studios. Peter Murray, Director of The Crawford, walks us around its Sculptor Gallery. Enda Wyley reads her poem Sea Urchin inspired by Rachel Joynt's sculptor on Dun Laoghaire's seafront. Director of The National Sculptor Factory, Mary McCarthy, shows us around its work spaces and sculptors Maud Cotter and Ruth Lyons tell us about their work.

This evening's ARTS TONIGHT WITH VINCENT WOODS on RTÉ Radio 1 looks at the landmark 20th century Irish publisher Sáirséal agus Dill with Cian Ó hÉigeartaigh and his sister Aoileann Nic Gearailt, the authors of a new book Sáirséál agus Dill 1947-1981: Scéal Foilsitheora published by Cló Iarr-Chonnacht. Sáirséal agus Dill were the publishers of key Irish writers including Máirtín O Cadhain, Máire Mhac an 'tSaoi, Liam Ó Flaithearta,Máirtín Ó Direáin and Seán Ó Riordáin Also on the programme, Alan Titley reads from his shortly to be released English Language version of Cré na Cille by Máirtín Ó Cadhain. The Dirty Dust will be published by Yale University Press.

Hi folks, some news. The Arts Tonight programme will resume this autumn, produced from the Radio Centre in RTE.
Thanks for everyone who helped make it a memorable year producing the programme with Aileen O'Meara (producer, left) and Sharon Kelly (researcher, right) for Digital Audio Productions.
Some of you will recognise our whiteboard sign we used in 10 Merrion Square where we recorded and edited with Dusty Rhodes.
