Galway Film Fleadh last week where it received a standing ovation and took home the Best Irish Film prize 🏆

The Kabin Studio Cork brought the feel-good vibes with an incredible performance before the screening.

What a night! TRAD made its world premiere at the Galway Film Fleadh to an incredible reception, taking home the coveted Audience Award!

Written and directed by Lance Daly (Kisses, Black ’47), TRAD introduces rising Irish stars Megan Nic Fhionnghaile and Cathal Coade Palmer, alongside a standout supporting cast including Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones, Kin), Sarah Greene (Bad Sisters, Black ‘47), Peter Coonan (King Frankie, Love/Hate) and Ann Skelly (Rose Plays Julie, Four Letters of Love).

The film follows gifted fiddle player Shona McAnally and her young brother Mickey as they leave their home in the Donegal Gaeltacht and take to the road with a troupe of wandering musicians, on a cross-country journey of adventure, romance and musical exploration.

An amazing weekend at the Galway Film Fleadh ended with award wins for both TRAD and CHRISTY. TRAD was awarded the Audience Award with CHRISTY picking up the Best Irish Film prize.
