I wanted to let everyone know that Phoenix Blues tonight, at 10pm on 92.5 Phoenix FM, is a repeat of a show that I did a good while back. There is no particularly out-of-date stuff mentioned though, I made sure it was a show where that wasn't the case. I played songs by Albert King first, including "Down Don't Bother Me" from his influential 1967 album Born Under a Bad Sign. He'll be followed by Etta James with songs such as "Hoochie Coochie Gal" her version of Muddy Waters's "Hoochie Coochie Man". I also featured a few numbers by the Mississippi Cadillac Blues Band, including "Our Love Is Driftin'" and some songs by Muddy Waters, including the brilliant "Unk In Funk". Feel free to listen below for what's to come on tonight's episode, and listen live on www.phoenixfm.ie if you aren't in Dublin 15. Yet again, I just wanna remind you that Phoenix Blues is also available on www.mixcloud.ie so be sure to catch it there if you miss it tonight.

Just to let all my listeners know, the latest show was supposed to be aired last Tuesday. However, although it was aired at first, it was cut short, because I left several long pauses in the recording between the end of the songs and when I spoke. The whole show should be aired tonight though, on 92.5 Phoenix FM, at 10pm. I have the usual blues, including songs by T-Bone Walker, Muireann Bradley, Etta James, Willie Dixon, Ray Charles, Big Brother & the Holding Company and Muddy Waters. I'll also be paying tribute to Pink Floyd's keyboardist, Richard Wright. Last Tuesday would've been his 83rd birthday. I'll be featuring Floyd's well-known songs, "Comfortably Numb" and "Wish You Were Here", along with 2 of their other brilliant songs, "The Great Gig in the Sky" and "Eclipse". Listen to some of those songs in the links below. Hear the show on www.phoenixfm.ie if you live outside Dublin 15. If any listeners miss it tonight, go onto www.mixcloud.ie
