Massive congratulations to The Laurels Clondalkin, who have been named 'Irish Pub of the Year' at the Irish Pub Awards. A fantastic result for Louis Fitzgerald and his team.

Great wins as well for The Blackrock who received the award for 'Outstanding Customer Service' and 4 Dame Lane, who picked up the 'Best Music Pub' award.

The LVA would like to extend our congratulations to all the winners on the night and the pubs who picked up the regional awards this year.

The duty on a pack of 20 ci******es will be increased by 50c as part of Budget 2026, however excise duty on alcohol is unchanged.

Pleased to see the return of VAT9 finalised. We have also had confirmation this will be a permanent measure. Hopefully this takes the discussion off the table for good.
However, progress needed on cost of SEOs and reducing high rates of excise.
