Product Safety Notice – 'Tucson' 5, 6 & 8 metre head, ‘INTERTRADE’ 6 metre head and ‘GBP FLO’ 6 metre head circulating pumps
We have identified a safety concern around the mains connection on ‘INTERTRADE’ 6 metre head and ‘GBP FLO’ 6 metre head circulating pumps manufactured by Tucson Pumps before November 2024. Similarly to Tucson 5m, 6m and 8m models which were the subject of a previous Product Safety Notice, the mains cables on these pumps can be connected in reverse posing a serious risk of electrocution.

This issue has been eliminated on Tucson manufactured pumps after November 2024.
Affected pumps can be identified using the serial number (S/N) which is included on the product label. Consumers can also check if they have an affected pump by using the serial number checking tool on the customer support pages of Tucsonpumps.ie which is available here https://tucsonpumps.com/serial-number-checking-tool/
Tucson will arrange for the inspection of installed units of the affected models and the installation of an updated electrical coupling and connector between the mains connector and the electrical coupling on the pump motor which will only allow the mains to be connected to the pump with the correct plug orientation.
Consumers that have one of the affected models of pumps installed and the unit is working properly, can continue to safely use their heading systems.
