REMINDER TO ALL GARDENING GROUPS! 🌿

Don't forget to send us your upcoming news and events for the Winter edition of The Irish Garden. This will cover the months of November and December '26. Many of you will have upcoming annual events, which you might like to promote.

Aside from your club's meetings, we are always interested in any special anniversaries, gala nights, charity events, milestone celebrations, or special outings you have been involved in. Let us know, and space allowing, we will publish them too. Where relevant or possible, we would kindly ask for about 50 words and a photo.

Also, if you have your club's schedule drawn up for the months ahead, feel free to submit this. We can allocate the meetings/ events to the relevant editions. Any questions, just get in touch!

AOIFA - Association of Irish Floral Artists

🌸 **NATIONAL FLOWER FESTIVAL – DONERAILE** 🌸
**3rd & 4th October 2026 | 10am–4pm**

We would love you to join us in beautiful **Doneraile, Co. Cork**, for the Association of Irish Floral Artists’ **National Flower Festival**, with this year’s theme:

💐 *“Making Connections: A Celebration of Community, Heritage and Friendship”*

The festival will feature wonderful floral displays in the **Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary** and **St. Mary’s Church of Ireland**, while supporting the very worthwhile **Breast Cancer Ireland**.

There will be lots more to enjoy over the weekend, including 🌱 a **Plant Sale**, 🌸 a **Pre-Loved Floral Sundries Stall**, 📚 a **treasure trove of gardening and flower-arranging books**, and **Blackwater Floral Mechanics** will also be joining us.

Whether you love flowers, gardening, flower arranging or simply fancy an enjoyable day out, we would be delighted to welcome you.

🍎 Féile na nÚll – Apple Festival at Cloughjordan Ecovillage

🌱Irish Seed Savers Association will be taking part in this year’s Féile na nÚll, the annual community apple festival at Cloughjordan Ecovillage!

📅 Saturday, 19 September 2026
🕚 11 am - 6 pm
📍 WeCreate Centre, Cloughjordan Ecovillage, Tipperary, E53 VP86

🍏It’s a wonderful day out celebrating apples, nature and community - with apple pressing, an apple bake contest, market stalls, orchard and ecovillage tours, talks, workshops, family activities, and live art, music and performance.

🌳There’s a lovely connection here too: some of the heritage apple varieties growing in the Cloughjordan orchards were originally sourced from our very own Irish Seed Savers collection.

🧺Entry is free - bring your own apples along for pressing, or simply come for a fun family day out!
