What an unbelievable month May has been for the team at Mobile Media. This is a longer than usual update.
We started the month with our first live coverage of a match for the Northern Ireland Youth Football Association (NIYFA) at Ulidia Playing Fields, Ormeau Road, Belfast, after taking over the contract from our partners at Exsporté and Wyzcom
The weekend continued with an abandoned game for Ulster GAA in their Minor Championship in Donegal, due to a massive downpour and thunderstorm. Sunday had our team split across three venues doing rigging for the NIYFA major finals day at MUSA complex in Cookstown and also rigging at Larne FC and Coleraine FC for the prestigious UEFA WU17 tournament which we were awarded alongside our good friends and partners, Darren & Joe at Soaring Productions.
Bank Holiday Monday was intense. We had cameras and commentators at MUSA to livestream 16 (yep sixteen) Cup Final games during a day to remember without a single hiccup all day. At the the same time we had 3 crew on camera at the Coleraine Showgrounds and a further 3 at Inver Park in Larne for the WU17 live broadcast. Add to that the The Irish Football Association Junior Cup Final livestreamed from Windsor Park in Belfast. Oh and in case that wasn't enough, we also did a NI Football League Women's Premiership game. A total of 20 games across 4 venues in the one day.
That same week we fitted in a further eight (8) games with 3 crew at each for the WU17 tournament, a funeral service livestream (still a big part of what we do because we never forget our roots) 2 Women's Premiership games, one of which was a full DAZN multi camera production from Seaview in Belfast and the fantastic Athletics event at Mary Peters Track for the Belfast Classic in conjunction with Belfast Irish Milers and breathe
The following week was no less intense with another 6 games in the WU17 tournament that included a play off game in Larne and two semi finals in Windsor Park (which we additionally provided 5 crew for, to enable rigging at Windsor Park) and the 6 crew at the UEFA Euro WU17 tournament final, again at Windsor). In case you're thinking not that busy, we also did the first ever NIFLtv Women's Premiership live game at Bluebell Stadium in Lisburn, between Lisburn Ladies and Derry City in a cracking and intense game, plus the NIYFA Plate finals in Belfast, 2 on Friday evening and and a full day of 4 finals on Saturday. Alongside the WU17 final we were also involved at the GAA Leinster Senior Football Final in Croke Park, Dublin.
This past week we have taken it easy with just the 6 Cup Finals for NIYFA, back at Ulidia Park, 2 Friday and 4 more Saturday and finished off yesterday (Sunday 24th) with a massively successful broadcast for the Newry City Half Marathon/ 10k
I'm guessing we deserve a break!! That's not happening with a ton of things to plan and prepare for this week.
Got a skill we can use and want to be involved in some very high profile events, PM the page
