On Apna Radio from 3pm:

Siraj Zaidi talks to Tasneem Khan, Founder and Director of SEA School, a mobile learning centre to explore science, ecology and the arts in the field.

Tasneem is a biologist, artist and educator exploring how people relate to, engage with and learn from place. Her practice is rooted in an evolving study on the literacy of landscape - working through field research, the development of shared-value enterprises, the designing immersive learning pedagogy, documenting and archiving community-held knowledge systems.

Each of her projects involve facilitating interdisciplinary initiatives.

On Dublin’s Historic South at 3pm:

This episode focuses on Glasthule!

Laura Fitzachary is joined by the insightful local historian Brian Smith as they delve into the days James Joyce spent in Glasthule's smaller neighbour - Sandycove.

Why focus on Glasthule then? Sandycove isn't a town-land and as you stroll along the coastline up to Dún Laoghaire you find yourself more so in Glasthule than you thought!

Brian has had an interest in history from when he was researching his own family history 40 years ago. Since then, he has published three Genealogy books, numerous local history articles, with the Dún Laoghaire Borough Historical Society and a couple of booklets on items of local interest - which included the brilliant: ‘The Streets of Glasthule'.
