A big Over the West Creative Collective welcome to Mel Zaich from Letterkenny.

I’m absolutely delighted to officially welcome Mel into our artist family.

I’ve already had the pleasure of working with Mel through our workshops and Open Mics, so she is certainly no stranger to Over the West. It’s been lovely watching her grow in confidence, develop her songwriting and find her feet as a young artist.

Mel released her debut original song, ‘Bananas Inside My Brain’, earlier this year, and I’m really looking forward to seeing where she takes her music from here.

For me, this is what Over the West is all about. It’s not just about putting artists on stages. It’s about creating a place where people can grow, have a go, support each other and know there are people behind them cheering them on.

So Mel, welcome officially to the family. I’m absolutely thrilled to have you on board and I’m really looking forward to being part of your musical journey.

WELCOME TO THE OVER THE WEST CREATIVE COLLECTIVE, CARA O’DONNELL!

We are absolutely delighted to welcome 14-year-old singer-songwriter Cara O’Donnell from Donegal to the Over the West Creative Collective family.

Cara is a hugely talented young artist with a voice, songwriting ability and stage presence that are already turning heads. Her original songs and powerful delivery at Over the West Fest on Arranmore Island and Milford Festival 2026 left audiences completely blown away.

🎶 Go West Songwriting Retreat – October 2nd–4th 🎶

Are you looking for space and time to work on new song ideas, finish songs that are half-written, or simply collaborate with fellow songwriters?

Join us in the beautiful surroundings of Corcreggan Mill, Dunfanaghy, Co.Donegal, from 2nd–4th October for a weekend of songwriting, creativity and collaboration.

The retreat is facilitated by singer-songwriter Maria McCormack and is a chance to step away from the everyday and give yourself time to focus on your songwriting.
