Solas Relaxation is a bilingual meditation and relaxation company founded by the journalist and writer, Katie McGreal. She provides relaxation classes for all ages in English and Irish. All classes are tailored to meet the needs of the students. These classes follow seven steps; game playing, peer and self massage, movement, positive words and thinking, stretches and focusing on the breath. There is then a relaxation section where a visualisation is read out while the students sit or lie down to listen to it and fully relax. During adult classes, there are three types of meditation; a visualisation, a walking meditation and a sitting meditation.

How are you feeling about the new week?

If you want to ensure a less stressful and a more calm and peaceful week for yourself and your family, The Peaceful Place Membership can help you with that.

The membership offers you reminders to practice mindfulness and mindfulness is simply awareness. When we are stressed we are in our heads, we are thinking a lot but if we can be aware of what is actually happening in any given moment we don't experience that same stress.

The membership is your reminder to be present, your reminder to get out of your head and to be here. You can do this through meditations and sitting quietly or simply by being aware of what you are doing in the moment.

Joanne and I met when I decided to do the Relax Kids coaches training in Belfast and we have done so many things since then between moon circles and events and she even helped me get my first teaching job as a Relax Kids coach in her old primary school.

Joanne's work has been varied but also not so varied and her passion for women's menstrual health is something that is so important and needs to be taught and talked about more then it currently is. If you would like to feel like you have more control over your thoughts and therefore your life, The Peaceful Place Membership is for you!

This is a membership for anyone looking to feel more in control of their lives by taking control of their minds, because we can control our minds, it just takes some practice!

Each month, you will be given four 10 minute meditations. These meditations will help you start or create a meditation habit. These meditations will help you to feel relaxed, calm and they will show you how easy it is to meditate as well as allowing you to experience the beautiful benefits of meditation including improved sleep, better relationships, less stress and anxiety and an improvement in your overall happiness.

You will also be given two mindful activities every month and these activities will vary from something you can reflect on, something for you to try, A way to practice mindfulness in a different way - some of the mindful activities up until now are inviting you to be mindful when you brush your teeth, inviting you to walk barefoot on grass or to go for a walk and to notice all of the green you can see.

These activities will help you realise that mindfulness doesn't require a quiet space, it doesn't need you to be calm and peaceful, it just requires you to be there for you to be present.

The membership also offers you opportunities to ask all of the mindfulness questions you have and there are weekly gratitude reminders as well.

It is just €27 per month for all of this and there is no commitment at all. If you decide after one month it is not for you you are welcome to leave at any time.

Anyone who is anyone knows that life is chaotic.

There is always something happening, whether it is in our own life or it is on social media, in the news, in your friends or neighbours life, life is non stop. Always busy and practising mindfulness isn't going to stop that.

Your life won't get magically less chaotic, but you will feel calmer within yourself so you can more easily deal with the chaos.

And the Peaceful Place Membership will show you that you don't need lots of extra time in order for you to be able to feel calm and relaxed. The membership shows you that you can practice mindfulness with all of the chaos around you. Mindfulness is awareness of what you are doing when you are doing it so if you can practice awareness of the noise, hear the shouting, hear the people asking questions, really listen to what is happening around you and see it, instead of being inside your head then you will feel calmer, simply because you will be focused on the one thing. Your mind and attention will all be on whoever it is you are talking to or whatever it is that is around you.

You don't need to sit quietly in order to practice mindfulness, you can be mindful while you are waiting for the traffic lights to change or when you are brushing your teeth. Mindfulness is awareness of what is happening while it is happening and while you can hear and see and smell and taste everything that is happening right now, you can you can fully enjoy it as you feel calm within it.

You can end this week with a beautiful, relaxing and calming feeling if you join us for this month's Full Moon Releasing Ceremony.

This will be a beautiful ceremony of journalling, meditation and reflecting on what is coming up for us so we can acknowledge it and release anything that is no longer serving us. If we continue to carry everything into the next chapter of our lives then we will not have space for any of the new things that are ready to come to us.

And as Siobhán says, you will feel really relaxed afterwards as well! And if you can't make the live ceremony, you can still experience the beautiful relaxation of it all with the replay which will be a recap of what we did during the ceremony (not an actual recording as I still want everyone to feel comfortable sharing) which will include meditations and an opportunity to get your own angel card reading for some extra support.

For the first time ever, the next Full Moon Releasing Ceremony is going to include a replay.

The Ceremony will be held on Thursday, 10th July at 8pm Irish time and the replay will be sent out right after, to anyone who signs up, so if you join us live you will have the chance of redoing the ceremony again in your own time.

The replay video sent out won't be of the exact ceremony as I would still like everyone to feel comfortable sharing in our live circle but the replay will go through each of the different parts of the ceremony that we do live.

So it will start with guiding you to journal; brain dumb of your thoughts so you can feel quieter coming into your meditation. You will then be guided in a beautiful meditation where you can come into your body and out of your head and you will be able to reflect on what it is that you are ready to let go of with this full moon energy. There will be space for you to also journal post-meditation and you will be given instructions as to how to get your own personal angel card reading at the end of the replay recording.

I cannot wait to see how you find this and to learn how beneficial it is for everyone who does it!

Mindfulness is about awareness. It is awareness of what is happening when it is happening.

When your mind is feeling very busy and we have a lot happening in our head, our already busy lives will feel even busier.
