AI and its training models is a conundrum keeping this tiny publisher awake at night.

As an end user tool it's amazing.

As an indiscriminate machine ingesting controlling creative digital content without recognition or compensation is horrendous.

As an unregulated industry operated by for-profit companies is terrifying.

Companies claim this is ‘fair use’. I think it’s a digital heist

Why? Because a good story, well told, is a WONDERFUL thing.

And there are loads of talented folks who make good stories... And they don't catch a break for silly reasons like location, gender or minority status.
