One of the best “token of appreciation” gifts for a teacher’s hard work is a sweet treat and here at my very own Sweet bites plus surprise, there’s no exemption to the rule‼️🥳💗🍀 today is our not-so-little precious daughter’s last day in school so as a “thank you” present for her school teacher we send over this customised TOBLERONE-KINDERBUENO CHOCOLATE FUDGE CAKE‼️👩‍🍳🎂🎉 a simple way of saying that any teacher can be extra special while we share both sweetness and appreciation beyond any level‼️ thanks a million to all the dedicated teachers everywhere! 👩‍🏫📚📖👏🥰💕

Yesterday’s dessert creation appreciation post‼️🥳👩‍🍳🍞🍌 Cheers to my very own version of HOMEMADE BANANA BREAD‼️😋💕

The only recipe you need‼️

125 g softened butter (optional: add 1/8 cup oil)
125 g white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
300 g ripe mashed banana
1 tsp baking soda
125 g room temp. milk
250g self raising flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
1/2 tsp mixed spice powder
15 g crushed walnut/any nuts of your choice plus crushed walnuts for toppings

(1) Preheat oven to 180 degree Celsius
(2) prepare 1 pc 8” cake pan or 3 pcs small loaf pan and placed baking parchment papers at the bottom and set aside
(3) cream butter and sugar until light and creamy using stand mixer
(4) add the eggs and incorporate well
(5) add in vanilla and mashed bananas and make sure it’s well mixed
(6) on a separate bowl mix baking soda and milk (set aside)
(7) start mixing the dry ingredients in 3 portions (flour+cinnamon and mixed spice powder) and alternately incorporate into the banana mixture alongside the milk mixture (only do cut and fold motion in mixing the batter to avoid it being over mixed)
(8) transfer in a baking pan and bake for 35-40 minutes depending on the oven.

15.3.2025 marks as one of the busiest days of my life as a home baker and at the same time someone who works as a baker in a commercial bakery for my daytime job here in Ireland‼️🥰💕👩‍🍳 I must say juggling two things at once would be a little bit stressful and chaotic but very rewarding at the end of the day specially when everything went as good as planned‼️🫶👍🥳

Watch this til the end and we will all start appreciating small things we have back in the Philippines that we sometimes take for granted ‼️ super relatable!! 🥰 share mo na din para malaman ng iba‼️👌💕 As a Filipino mom who loves to bake and cook at home I started wandering around various shops here in Ireland in search of a particular spice that I supposed to use for my Filipino meal, 👉called SAFFRON or better known as “KASUGBA” and I was totally flabbergasted to find out that it’s the MOST EXPENSIVE SPICE to ever exist here in Ireland that cost €13,000.00 per 1 kilogram which is equivalent to 1 normal HOUSE & LOT in the Philippines‼️ 🫣 I was shookt‼️🤔

Sweet bites plus surprise is a home-based bakeshop that caters home-made and made-to-order traditional and customized cakes and cupcakes for all occasions at a very affordable and reasonable price. Special message for my clients and likers: Good eve everyone! Inform ko lang po kayo na available po ang customization or personalization ng cakes and cupcakes anytime. But please notify me at least 1-2 weeks ahead of time. For rush order may additional fee po (just in case lang). then if ever po wala sa improvised brochures ko ung cake or cupcakes na gusto nyo, please inform me, baka nagkataon lang po na hindi ko na i po post Wag po kayo mag-alinlangan na magsabi. Open po ako sa lahat ng inquiries at viewpoints nyo. By the way po, Lahat po ng nasa cakes at cupcakes na ginagawa ko will be edible (or kung meron man na hindi, siguro ung message box po (space provided from your special letter for the person na pagbibigyan nyo) at saka ung cake board, Of course! i am making cartoon character themed cakes an even dedication cakes for birthdays and other occasions. All you have to do is to inquire. Kung nagkataon naman po na budgeted lang ang allowance nyo for cakes and cupcakes, ok lang po yun. if kaya ko po mag adjust, i'll do my best. Marami pong paraan kung gugustuhin. Customers will always be my first priority. Makita ko lang na napasaya ko kayo sa mga cakes at cupcakes na nagawa ko for you, Happy na din po ako! Anyway, marami pong salamat sa walang sawang pag support ng business ko.
