A fantastic evening at the Galway Races ✨💛

A huge thank you to the entire team at Ballybrit for so warmly welcoming Galway's Youth Access Group and for hosting such a valuable visit.

This visit was a key part of Galway City Council's "Night Out Access In" initiative, where Galway City Council is championing accessibility across our Night-Time Economy. The Galway City Council Night-Time Economy Advisor is working hand-in-hand with local businesses like the Galway Races to better understand existing accessibility measures and explore opportunities to strengthen and implement practical improvements to Galway's night-time offerings. Our goal is to ensure every individual, regardless of ability, can fully enjoy all that Galway has to offer after dark.

Galway City Council is grateful for the opportunity our Youth Access Group had to meet the team, provide their insights, and contribute to making this iconic event even more welcoming.

The "Night Out Access In" initiative is proudly carried out in collaboration with Galway City Council Night-Time Economy, Access for All Galway, Youth Access Group-Youth Work Ireland Galway , CAPE Youth Project Galway, and Galway City Night-Time Economy Businesses with support from Department of Culture, Communications and Sport, Minister Patrick O'Donovan TD, and Galway City Night-Time Economy Advisor Kate Howard.

Slán Abháile 💚 Today we bid a fond farewell to brilliant Bella, our summer intern from Texas who came to us with AIFS Abroad ! We celebrated with a really fun challenge at Great Escape Rooms just off Eyre Square... intense and scary as well as fun!! 😂 Then down to Woodquay for a few pints in the sun outside Cadell 🍻

It was wonderful to have you as part of the team for the last 6 weeks, Bella!
