Hi everyone hope you all enjoyed your mothers day. We had were spoiled aswell with the views and the weather, thanks to all who took part in todays outing. Oh ya I meant to say yesterday that newcomers are more than welcome and if any of our die-hards know anyone who wants to join you are more than welcome, because it will be fun and we do have a few funny characters. Hi everyone, long time no post. How have you all been? Yes I know I've missed you too. Well guys that was some winter we had, we paid dearly for our amazing summer. It was nearly so wet that I was debating on whether or not to change the hillwalking club to a canoeing club. But anyway we will have our first outing of 2014 and it will be a local one. So I must advise people to make sure that they look their best as we will be walking along the most photographed mountains on the Ring of Kerry. Yes you've guessed it, Commaun Ridge. It will be an easy walk max 2hrs so a nice one to break into a new season of outings. We will meet at the Towers Hotel carpark at 10:30am on Sunday March 30th, so we can carpool.You'll have plenty of time to be home for mothers day lunch afterwards. Please wear warm clothes, rain-gear and a good pair a of hiking boots. Also bring a hot drink and a light snack if so desired. Again as always we do not allow dogs on our walks. Hope to see you there for walk and a laugh. I will update you during the week. See you then.

What a fabulous night we had last night for a night hike, perfect weather conditions and an amazing moon.........now rise and shine people today is another day with 3 fabulous walks planned for all ages and levels of walkers ....... Registration for carrauntouhill is from 8.30am at the glencar house hotel and registration for seefin and curra forrest walk in is the towers hotel from 9am.

Hi guys , the summer is over which means only one thing.......the return of our rambling over hills and mountains. We will be starting with a bang this year with our very first glenbeigh glencar hillwalking festival due to take place from September 20-22nd. We will have carrauntouhill, the coomasaharan horseshoe, curra mountain, the windy gap and much more, with walks to suit all level of walkers. Hi everyone, after the last two enjoyable walks, we are going across the county bounds for the Millstreet Walking Festival weekend of 20th-21st of April. There are walks suitable for everyone so we'll sort out the carpooling to coincide with the walks with everyone's interest. Staying the night is optional but advisable if people decide they want to do the (A) walks as they start at 9:00am or maybe (B) walks if they plan to drive up and down the same day I will leave a link to the page and people can be making up there own minds.
