I never believed in co-writing. Thought it was fake. Solo work or nothing.
Then someone invited me to a songwriting camp in Spain. I went for the holiday. Maybe meet some musicians. Drink wine by the sea. Zero expectations.
That trip changed everything in two years.
I discovered co-writing isn't about compromise. It's about collision. Different energies. Different backgrounds. Different melodic instincts crashing into each other until something new emerges.
Startups understand this instinctively. You can't innovate in isolation. The best products come from teams with conflicting perspectives who force each other to think differently.
Music works the same way. The fusion happens when you stop protecting your ideas and start exposing them to friction.
I took one risk on a Spanish beach. It put me on a path I didn't know existed. 💫
The creative breakthroughs you're chasing probably live outside your current process. Outside your usual collaborators. Outside the methods that feel safe.
Sometimes the best move is showing up somewhere new with zero agenda.
