I’ve got a lot of love for this band, great people with a cutting edge original sound that I’ve missed terribly. So imagine my joy and some relief to see an imminent album release and the promise of some gigs too. Slyrydes way too good to slide by the wayside. A lot to look forward to so. Great stuff.

In light of a recent gig and a brief WhatsApp with a most original confidant, I have thrown out the beginnings of Saturdays playlist and in its stead have decided to devote a show to a band and artist that despite a number of recent political ambiguities which I find abhorrent, still remains and always will be the reason I love the music, I love.
So the set devotion is to The Smiths and Morrissey. You choose a song and a reason for same. There are only 13 choices, so first up, best dressed. Speedway from Vauxhall and I is already in the mix. So over to you.
This should be fun. And quick.

Just watched blur To The End.
More than just a concert movie. It’s a remarkable insight into people and how individuals somehow come together and over the years despite their past discrepancies over this and that and fallings out over whatever, they have a deep meaningful bond and the music is ultimately what matters. Music is life.
I got very old man teary watching it.
But in a very positive way. It was fantastic. Highly recommended.
