Hi, my name is Katie and I’m from Cullen in County Cork. I was 9 when I started singing and playing the concertina. Learning concertina from Tadgh O’Sullivan sparked my love of music and the Sliabh Luachra style. I was taught singing by Elle Marie O’Dwyer, an incredible and inspiring teacher. I enjoy taking part in Fleadh Cheoil and Scór, having numerous county, provincial and all Ireland wins for Solo Singing, for Grúpaí Ceoils and with Cullen Ballad Group.
I am really looking forward to teaching singing and concertina lessons in Kiskeam this year!

Hello,
My name is Sarah Kelly and I am a fiddle and concertina player from Newmarket. I started playing music when I was 5 years old. I have been taught fiddle by Noreen O’ Connor and Alan Finn and concertina by Lisa Shine. I have won County and Munster medals at Fleadh as a solo fiddle player and have played in groups and bands to All-Ireland level. I have 2 first place All-Ireland medals with Crossfield Ceili Band. I won the Junior Fiddler of Dooney in 2023 and I won the Maurice O’ Keeffe’s over all musician in 2024. I am really looking forward to teaching the fiddle in Kiskeam this year.

Hello I’m Timmy Keane from Ballydesmond. I started learning music with Cill Mhín Comhaltas when I was 6 years old. I now play the Banjo, Mouth Organ, Tin Whistle, Mandolin and Bodhrán. My music is greatly influenced by the Sliabh Luachra style and I enjoy playing in regular sessions and at festivals. I compete in Fleadh Cheoil and I have been fortunate to win 2 all Irelands in the Mouth Organ competition. I’m looking forward to teaching with Cill Mhín Comhaltas this year.

🎶Meet our Tutors🎶
Hello everyone, My name is Eoin O’Driscoll and I am delighted to be returning for a third year to teach accordion and melodeon with Cill Mhin Comhaltas in Kiskeam.

I am living in Newmarket in County Cork.
I started playing the accordion at the age of 6. I have been taught by Bryan O’Leary, the great accordion player from Tureencahill, and my playing is heavily influenced by the Sliabh Luachra style of music. I have also competed in many solo competitions in the Fleadh Cheoil as well as groups and bands with Freemount Comhaltas taught by Alan Finn.

I was part of the U18 All Ireland Winning Crossfields Ceili Band last year in Wexford, as well as winning U18 accordion at last year’s Cork Fleadh, and placing 2nd in the Cork senior accordion competition this year. I have just completed my Leaving Cert and will be starting my Bachelor of Education in Primary Teaching in Mary Immaculate College in the coming weeks.

My classes will cater for all ages and abilities. I really enjoyed seeing how my students progressed and enjoyed playing music over the last two years, so I am really looking forward to seeing you all again in the next few weeks. Thanks.

Hello Everybody, I’m Gemma Nagle a flute, keyboard, tin-whistle and bodhrán player from Cullen in North Cork. I’ve been playing music from a young age, influenced by various musicians. I also have been part of numerous music, singing and dancing groups for Fleadh Cheoil and Scór over the years, having numerous successes in competitions up to All-Ireland level. I have a passion for performing and gigging with my sister in various settings. I’m so looking forward to meet and teach all these amazing students that have a love for music.
