An event titled "The Creeslough Tragedy: Hearing from Victims' Families" will take place in Leinster House today at 4pm.

Hosted by Sinn Féin Leader Mary Lou McDonald TD, the event will provide an opportunity, for family members who lost loved ones in the tragedy and survivors to speak directly to TDs and Senators about the devastating impact of the explosion that claimed ten lives in October.

Families will discuss the lasting effects of the tragedy on their lives, their search for answers in the years since the explosion, and the reasons they are seeking the establishment of a full public inquiry.

It is intended to give TDs, Senators and Government Ministers an opportunity to hear first-hand from those most directly affected by the tragedy and to gain a deeper understanding of the concerns and experiences of the families.

Pictured are Donna and Hugh Harper, parents of Leona Harper who was killed in the explosion along with Christine Evans, a survivor and Chris Monaghan, father of James Monaghan who was killed in the explosion.

The drug Givinostat has now been appproved by the HSE Senior Leadership Team.

The application has now been moved to the Managed Access Protocol (MAP) stage, which is one of the final steps before access is available.

A campaign was underway to get the drug for young Aaron Langan from Donegal Town who suffers from DMD ( Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy). A condition where muscles slowly stop working.

There are 3 families that we know of in Donegal who require access to the drug.
