My son is 13 now.
Too big for matching pajamas.
Too cool for Santa photos.
But sometimes, I still see that little boy the one who used to giggle when the lights on the tree first flickered on, who’d leave out cookies and milk.
These days, he’s taller than me.
His voice is deeper, his smile different.
When I ask for a photo, he rolls his eyes, but then, if I’m lucky,
he’ll lean in for just one.
And when I look at that picture later, I realize…this is the moment I’ll miss one day. The in-between. The growing and the letting go.
That’s why I do this... during my Christmas Mini Sessions, I always encourage parents to step into the frame because maybe one day, they'll look at that photo with gratitude.
Not that I captured it… but that they were in it. ❤️
