We’re very proud to share that Sport Narrative & Badminton Ireland have been shortlisted as finalists at the Federation of Irish Sport Industry Awards 2026 for Best Use of Communications Platform in Sport.
Our submission focused on our work on the AIG VICTOR Irish Open throughout Instagram and Facebook.
The campaign started a month before the first shuttle was served.
In the weeks leading up to the event, we worked on developing a fan-first approach to promotion. We built attention around the tournament through creative formats, player features, event information, and short-form content designed to give people more reason to care before they arrived at the venue or saw the first result online.
Riding the pre-promotion wave, during the tournament, the performance was amplified. The focus shifted to capturing the event as it happened. Match moments, athlete reactions, supporter energy, behind-the-scenes stories, and quick-turnaround reels all helped bring the Irish Open to life across social media.
The aim was simple: make the Irish Open feel as important online as it felt in the arena.
That work helped turn the event into a major digital moment for Irish badminton, reaching new audiences, growing engagement, and giving sponsors more meaningful visibility through content people actually wanted to watch.
This nomination means a lot because it recognises the type of work we care about most: telling the story of sport in a way that is immediate, human, creative, and useful for the organisations behind it.
A huge thank you to Badminton Ireland, Enda Lynch, Conor Doherty for trusting us with such an important event, and to everyone who helped bring the campaign to life.
